Have you dreamed of a family photo surrounded by sunflowers? This Saturday is your chance! YOU are officially invited to our 2021 Simply Sunflower Field Day at our local sunflower farm this Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 10AM - 8PM. The field we open to the public one-day-only has 1.9 million sunflowers!!! Yes, you read that correctly, nearly 2 MILLION SUNFLOWERS!!!! They are only in full bloom 7-10 days of the entire year and we would love for you to join us at this special one-day event!

Grab your camera and venture into our sea of gold for an unforgettable Saturday. You and your family can stroll through our field of 1.9 million sunflowers and experience the natural beauty of life on the farm. Farmer Al will be there to point you in the best direction for pictures and to give field tours. He'd love to answer any questions you have about sunflowers.

Common Questions:

Are there really almost 2 million sunflowers in this field?

Yes, yes there are. We have 24,000 sunflowers per acre. This field is 80 acres which gives us a grand total of 1,920,000 sunflowers!

Can I take pictures?

Please do! We welcome you to take as many pictures as you'd like! This is an unforgettable experience and we want you to have photos to look back and cherish your fun day! Bring a professional photographer if you'd like too! Below are some of our favorite pictures from last year's event.

Where should I park?

We have roadside parking available. Watch for our volunteers to help direct you where to go.

If we bring a bus, is it still only $10 per vehicle.

Yes, pack that bus FULL!!! We want to see all your smiling faces!

Will there be bathrooms available?

We are in the middle of a sunflower field, but yes. We have porta-potties on site!

Will Farmer Al be there?

Yes! Farmer Al will be there along with several members of the Koelling family and the Simply Sunflower Team! We're there to answer every question you have about sunflowers and Simply Sunflower Oil!

I can't be there on Saturday, can I come another time?

We're so sad to miss you this year! Unfortunately, this is a One-Day-Only event. Our sunflowers are only in full bloom 7-10 days out of the entire year! Each visit requires assistance (and insurance). Although we LOVE visitors, our main goal is producing healthy, sustainable Simply Sunflower Oil. We are unable to accommodate other visits outside of our Annual Field Day. Please like our facebook page and follow us on Instagram to receive notifications for next year's Field Day!

Can I bring a sunflower home with me?

Unfortunately, we ask you do not cut down our sunflowers and take them home. Each of those sunflowers is our crop to produce Simply Sunflower Oil. We do have a few chopped down for you to see what the inside looks like and to hold during pictures if you'd like.

Can I purchase Simply Sunflower Oil during my visit?

Yes! We have a blue tent set up where you can check in and purchase Simply Sunflower Oil at our special Field Day Pricing: 8oz - $2.50; 16oz - 4:50; 32oz - $8.50.

Where is Simply Sunflower Available in stores?

Simply Sunflower Oil is available in over 350 stores nationwide including Baker's, H-E-B, Hy-Vee, Russ's Markets, Super Savers, and many local grocery stores. See our locations page for a full map of our stores.
